Skills: prior experience in a Laboratory environment is essential.

Your key responsibilities
• Prepare samples for sensory studies by meticulously following protocols and instructions without sacrificing either speed or accuracy.
• Run sensory panels by giving directions to panelists, answering questions, and troubleshooting, all while projecting confident, positive, and professional demeanor.
• Quickly learn how to operate and maintain sensitive laboratory instruments (e.g., olfactometer).
• Identify problems, analyze possible causes, and suggest improvements in methods, techniques, and equipment.
• Maintain a well-organized laboratory and inventory.
• Assist with data analyses, literature searches, and software programming of sensory tests, as needed.

You bring
• At least 1 year of laboratory experience that includes pipetting and weighing.
• Eye for detail & organization - do you pay attention to the minute details of project or task?
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good time management - can you make progress on multiple tasks concurrently?
• Ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly without being frustrated.
• High comfort level with learning new software and hardware.
